LAWTON, Okla. – Just weeks after four Aggie student-athletes were named Women’s Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholars, the Cameron women’s golf team was recognized after posting a top-25 team GPA for the 2017-18 season.
Recording a combined GPA of 3.626, which ranked them No. 20 in all of Division II. Earlier this month, Allison Duffin, Bayleigh Johnson, Kyndall Morgan, and Iona Roska were named All-American Scholars by the WGCA, which made up 57 percent of the Black and Gold roster. Duffin was also named the Lone Star Conference’s Women’s Golf Academic Player of the Year.
Cameron had a successful season on and off the links, finishing first at the OBU Fall Invite and sixth at the Tarleton State Women’s Invitational and the Western New Mexico Mustang Women’s Intercollegiate.
Also making the top-25 are fellow Lone Star Conference schools, Tarleton State (4) and Western New Mexico (15), while Oklahoma schools Southern Nazarene (8), Southwestern Oklahoma (14), Oklahoma Christian (17), and Northeastern State (T25) also made the list.
Lindenwood University finished first in all of Division II with a 3.886 team GPA
