SAN ANTONIO, Texas – The Aggie women’s golf team opened up their spring season by shooting a 326 in the opening round of the Rattler Invitational on Monday.
Cameron’s 326 currently has them tied for 10th place and 32 strokes behind the tournament leader Dallas Baptist, who shot a 294 in the first round.
Allison Duffin led the Aggies with a 78 and is tied for 15th, while Sabrina Stedman is tied for 25th with an 18-hole score of 80. Iona Roska is one stroke behind Stedman with an 81, and Kyndall Morgan and Kennedy Wheelerround out the CU lineup with an 87 and an 88 respectively.
DBU leads the tournament by 10 strokes, as St. Mary’s is in second with a 306. Currently in third is St. Edward’s, while Southwestern Oklahoma State is in fourth and Missouri-St. Louis is in fifth. Additionally, Lone Star Conference members West Texas A&M and Midwestern State are in sixth and seventh place and Texas A&M-Commerce is in ninth.
Individually, the Patriots’ Ann Parmerter and the Rattlers’ are tied for first with a pair of one under 71s.
Cameron will try to improve their spot in the standings on Tuesday as they compete in the final 18-hole round starting with a shotgun start in the morning.
