LAWTON, Okla. – The Cameron University men’s golf program announced the signing of a pair of transfers, who are set to join the 2018-19 Aggie squad in the fall.

The Aggies’ first signee is Dodge City Community College transfer Mason LeGrange. LeGrange spent his first two years playing collegiate golf for the Conquistadors in Kansas. As a freshman, he recorded three top-10 finishes, including a second place finish at the Jayhawk Conference II Tournament, where he shot a 143 for the 36-hole event. He also had a great comeback performance at the NJCAA Men’s Golf Nation Championship when he moved up 16 spots into a tie for second on day two of the meet; he eventually finished T55 with poor third and fourth rounds.

The Guyman, Okla. product was named second team All-Conference and All-Region and first team All-District in 2016-17. LeGrange was also ranked 69th in the NJCAA Golfstat player rankings and had a scoring average of 75.33 in 32 rounds of play.

Cameron’s second signee is a transfer from the University of Oklahoma, but has not played golf at the collegiate level. Suvansh Arora spent his first year on a college campus at OU, but his desire to play golf collegiality led him to transfer to CU. Arora posted a stroke average of 74 with an average driving distance of 275 in his last 10 rounds at the Jimmie Austin OU Golf Club; his best 18-hole round was a 69. In February, he was a National Collegiate Club Golf Association qualifier with a 69 at the Westwood Golf Club.

LeGrange and Arora will join an Aggie squad that is expected to return two seniors, two juniors, one sophomore and a red-shirt freshman. That group includes senior Dario Gabriel, who is a two time All-Lone Star Conference golfer and a two time LSC Academic Player of the Year, and Will Lovelace, who was a first team All-LSC performer last season.

The Aggies will open up their 2018 fall season at the Ryan Palmer Invitational in Amarillo, Texas, Sep 10-11.
