LAWTON, Okla. – The Cameron University men’s basketball team will host a number of camps this summer for the community’s youth with dates in May, June, and July.
Cameron’s basketball program and CU head coach Andrew Brown and his staff are putting on three camps this summer are open to the public: the Elite Camp, the Individual Camp, and the Shooting Camp.
Elite Camp | Flyer
The Cameron Aggie Elite Camp is scheduled to take place on two dates this summer, May 23 and June 20. The camp is geared towards high level skill instruction is designed for campers that take basketball seriously. It is for limited to high school boys that are going into their freshman-senior years. The cost is $25 per camper (includes a t-shirt), each session is limited to 16 participants, and the sessions will last from 5:30-8:30 p.m. in the Aggie Gym.
Individual Camp | Flyer
CU’s next basketball camps will be the Individual Camp. This camp, which will take place June 4-7, is available to boys and girls who are rising kindergarten-eighth graders. The kindergarten-second grade session will last from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. and costs $100, while the third-eighth grade session lasts from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. and is $175 per camper. Lunch will be provided for campers staying the full day, as well as a free t-shirt, and a $15 discount is available for military families or children of Cameron employees. The Individual Camp will be held in the Aggie Rec Center.
Shooting Camp | Flyer
Men’s basketball’s third camp is the Shooting Camp, which will take place July 9-12. This camp is for all rising third-eighth graders and is $50 per camper; third-fifth graders will go from 9 a.m.-11:30 a.m. and sixth-eighth graders will be from 1 p.m.-3:30 p.m. This camp is fundamentals driven and will focus on all areas of scoring and shooting. The Shooting Camp is limited to 24 kids each day and will meet in the Aggie Gym.
