The Lawton Chapter of AMBUCS will host its 62nd annual Pancake Day Nov. 6 at the Great Plains Coliseum, 920 S. Sheridan.
The event kicks off at 6:30 a.m. and goes well into the night, ending at 8 p.m.
“It’s an all-day event for sure,” said Larry Holcomb, publicity chairman for the AMBUCS.
AMBUCS is a charitable, nonprofit organization that benefits individuals with disabilities.
“Our main focus is Amtrykes, our therapeutic tricycles,” Holcomb said. Amtrykes are designed to help those with disabilities be more independent and mobile. “It started with kids, but they’ve recently developed sizes for disabled veterans,” Holcomb said.
Meals at the Pancake Day will include eggs, bacon or sausage and, of course, all-you-can-eat pancakes. Coffee, milk, and soda will also be available. Tickets are $8 in advance and $10 at the door. Tickets may be purchased at any of the Playcare locations in Lawton, Larry Holcomb Insurance, or from any local AMBUCS member. For information contact Holcomb at ljhcohotmail.com.
